Storpool's Converged Scale-out Solution changes the traditional infrastructures, who were always designed out of 3 hardware components (mostly different brands): Storage, Networking and Servers. Additionally you needed to run a virtualization layer like VMware, Xen or HypverV and add some add-on software for disaster recovery and backup.
The software defined revolution resulted in new faster and cost efficient solutions but the three components were still interconnected and mostly serviced & designed by multiple vendors. StorPool changes all of this into one solution...
With StorPool’s Solution, each of the nodes act as a storage, networking & virtualization component which is able to scale out thanks to the interconnected 56Gb low latency Ethernet connectivity. StorPool storage has been designed based on a combination of high performance solid-state drives and standard near line high capacity drives.
Together they offer a distributed hybrid block device across the available nodes using the user's desired redundancy level and a 64-bit checksum algorithm to ensure data integrity. Each node has a built in hypervisor using the node's 32vCPU cores (up to 72) and 256GB RAM (up to 1,5TB) for the vm’s resources and an internal backbone network based on 56Gbs low latency Ethernet for the vSwitch allowing your vm’s to migrate and failover to other nodes. Management of this setup can be done via a single user interface (VMGrid) or via an enterprise cloud management platform like OpenNebula or OpenStack.

The StorPool Basic is a pure distributed storage platform, interconnected with 10Gb or 56Gb ethernet to your switch.
Starting at a budget of 18 500 € (Kick-Start) you are able to connect 7,8TB usable hybrid storage (SSD performance) to your OpenStack, OnApp, OpenNebula or your custom platform. Each node can be equiped up 20TB Hybrid, delivering 60TB logical hybrid space in just 6U.
Basic HyperConverged Nodes
The StorPool Scale-Out Converged cloud infrastructure for mid-size cloud providers is the perfect solution if you are looking for a cost efficient easy-to-grow platform. Each node consists out of a 2U rack with 32 vCPU, 256GB RAM and 2,9TB usable Hybrid storage. The nodes are designed to host up to 100vm's and are interconnected with a low latency Ethernet 56Gbs network, which allows you to scale up to multiple nodes (Switch limited). Starting at just 3-nodes (200vm's) you are able to grow per 100vm's infrastructure. The configuration of 12-nodes is able to host 1100vm's in just 25U rack space*** The management of this infrastructure can either be done by an integration with OpenStack, OnApp, OpenNebula or your custom platform.

Each node consists out of a 4U rack with 128 vCPU, 1TB RAM and 11,6TB usable Hybrid storage. The 4-node is designed to host up to 300vm’s* and are interconnected with a low latency Ethernet 56Gbs network, which allows you to scale up to infinite number of nodes , you are able to grow your infrastructure per 400vm's. The maximum configuration is limited by the cooling and power of your datacenter. The management of this infrastructure can either be done by OpenStack, OnApp, OpenNebula or your custom platform.
